SAFA Suspends Fanang Diatla
13 November 2009

The South African Football Association (SAFA) has suspended Fanang Diatla Football Club for gross misconduct. The club is currently campaigning in the Vodacom League, and they stand accused of assaulting match officials in a fixture against All Nation Shining Stars on the 7th of November 2009.

SAFA CEO Raymond Hack says the team is suspended from participating in any form of football activity pending the finalization of disciplinary proceedings. “The Association cannot tolerate abuse of match officials by any club or member, there are rules and regulations governing our competitions, and we will take action against any member who transgresses our rules and act in an irresponsible manner,” said Hack.

In the past two seasons the South African Football Association has expelled Modimolle Aces who campaigned in the Vodacom league in Limpopo Province.
