SAFA Nedbank Cup Draw

 SAB league side Mnguni Young Stars of Mpumalanga has been drawn to play Vodacom league team Tower United from the Free State in a once-off play-off to determine the eighth team to represent the South African Football Association (SAFA) in the Nedbank Cup last 32 stage.
Nine teams made it to this stage of the tournament in the SAFA level, and with only eight teams needed by the Premier Soccer League (PSL), a public draw was conducted at SAFA House on Tuesday (24 November) to determine the two teams that will battle for the eight spot in the SAFA Nedbank contingent.
The play-off between Young Stars and Tower United will be played at a neutral venue in Johannesburg on the weekend of the 12/13 December 2009. The winner will join the remaining seven to contest the last 32 stage of the Nedbank Cup. This stage is made up of 16 teams from the PSL, eight from the National First Division (NFD) and another eight from SAFA.
